Ready for Round Robin 2

The race against time has been won by the technical team. The repairs have been finished. “We have removed the damaged pieces, repaired the carbon pieces which hold the bolts next to the keel box, by making new ones. What is long is the curing. That started this morning and will be finished tomorrow. We will go sailing tomorrow morning to test the boat and we will be on the starting line tomorrow at 14:15”, explained Herve Devaux from China Design. At 16:30, today, the boat came out of the shed and the curing was interrupted shortly for mounting the keel and for the measurement necessary before Round Robin 2 “We have worked a great deal, in record time and I am confident for tomorrow’s sailing.” explained Wayne Crossland, composite technician who made up part of the construction team in China. The Round Robin 2 will take place using the same system as Round Robin 1 with only one race a day… two races can be run, but only to recover days postponed. Each win will give the teams 2 points. At the end of the races, only four teams will be selected for the semi-finals. The week will be intense!
