CHN95 : The long journey
CHN95 left Dong Guan 18 November in the morning. It will arrive in Valencia in a month’s time, probably around the 18 December.
It is an exceptional journey for the CHN95, which began with a road trip as it left the chandler to reach the port of Chatian, where it was loaded onto a barge. From Chatian it was transported to Hong Kong. This involved two days of crossing the country, then began the wait for the container into which it was placed. It took most of the night to lift the boat into position, and the long-awaited departure took place on schedule at daylight from the port of Hong Kong. From here the long journey via Manilla, Singapore, India, the Suez Canal and Genoa began. There follows a photo story from the shore team manager Pierre Massé who was in Dong Guan for two weeks.
